This is from one of our strength and conditioning clients. This is the perfect example of the scales don't matter in some cases. Some clients get very fixated on the scales, and if it's not moving they mustn't be getting in shape. Weight before is 67.4kg, weight after is 68.6kg... but it's gone up. The big difference is lean weight has went from 47kg to 53kg... total 6kg leaner. Body fat has dropped 8.2%. Taking a before and after picture is so important to see the actual difference. Keep up the great work, your killing it... 13 weeks in the difference.

"I am actually super shocked. I didn't realise how important it is to do progress pictures... you dont realise how far you've come until you look back on photos. To be fair, when I started with Michael Barnes at BU Fitness, I couldn't even look at my reflection let alone take a picture of it. Baby weight is definitely not easy to budge... Mick says he's not a miracle worker but he's clearly doing something. I couldn't recommend him enough from the facilities, diet plans and his torture (cough), I mean coaching. "So Delighted with my results after 6 weeks Mick, that is all thanks to you. The crazy hard workout sessions and all your advice have really paid off. I dread going to each session but love how I feel afterwards. I feel so proud after each session because I know I have pushed myself to my limit and I know that is something I would never ever do in a gym on my own. The weekly weigh in has been the ultimate motivation for me and keeps me on track each week. I love how you allow my weekend treats and never make me feel guilty if I have had a bad week. You just tell me that "life is for living but get back on track now". "Can I first say a big thanks to Michael Barnes for making sure none of my clothes fit anymore. I'm sorry that I never took a 'before' picture but the first 2 are from roughly 10 weeks ago when I was on holidays. I've been working with Mick for the last 10 weeks, and the results speak for themselves. In addition to losing a total of 12 kg (as of this morning), my body fat level has dropped from around 25% to somewhere between 14-15%. In addition I've lost around 5 inches off both stomach and hips, with no ill effects as regards training. My strength has actually increased over the last few weeks, and energy levels are higher then they have been for a long time. I would fully recommend mick to anyone looking to lose weight or that needs some guidence, he's always there for any questions you might have, just be aware some of the training he does is not for the faint hearted"
"Always said I would never do this but when I got to this stage I thought fuck it haha.. For years I have always thought and talked about making an effort to lose weight and get fit but would never really follow through because I was lazy and it was too much effort. I always tried to tell myself I didn't really care and it didn't really bother me and put it to the back of my mind as something for another time. Finally 3 months ago I decided enough was enough and I had to get myself sorted. Michael Barnes was recommended to me by a few people so I decided to bite the bullet and go for a consultation, to say I nearly actually died during the consultation is a complete understatement! But somehow I managed to stick with it and go back for more torture every week and am now 1.5 stone lighter and about 190% fitter than that first day haha. If anyone is thinking about trying to lose weight etc then I highly recommend this man! He made me feel comfortable from day 1 and has always believed in me even when I didn't. And when you struggle to go on he gets you through! I have never felt better and it's true that they say it's good for the mind body and soul.
